Policies

TUITION

Tuition is billed in 9 ½ equal monthly installments (36 total classes) regardless of the number of weeks in a month.  The first installment will be due at the time of registration. The second payment will be due in October and will follow our standard payment schedule with payment being due by the 1st of each month.  A grace period to make payment is given until the 10th of each month.  The Dance Connection accepts cash or personal check payments. Credit card is also accepted with a 3% processing fee.

 

 

PAYMENT OF TUITION

All tuition is due the first of the month and must be paid by the 10th of each month. Tuition payments may be paid by cash or check made payable to The Dance Connection.  We also accept credit card payments with an additional 3% processing fee.  There will be a $25.00 service fee on all returned checks.  All families must keep a valid credit card on file in their parent portal. In order to avoid all late fees this year any account not paid by the 10th of each month will automatically have their credit card run for any outstanding balances.

 

REFUNDS

The Dance Connection does not issue refunds for tuition, costumes, pictures, media fees, tights, etc. due to a dancer dropping from the program.  Please notify the front desk of any changes to registration throughout the year. Notification of dropped class(es) must be made to the desk by the 1st of the month to avoid additional installment charges.

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER

The Dance Connection may close due to bad weather.  All decisions about closing for weather will be made by 3:00pm prior to the evening classes starting.  All studio closures will be posted on the studio social media pages, sent out via text message update, and a voice recording will be on the studio voicemail.

 

IN-SERVICE SCHOOL CLOSINGS

The studio will be open for all in-service school closings by Plymouth-Canton Community Schools.

 

HOLIDAYS

The studio will be closed on Halloween.  We will observe the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools closure schedule for Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, Mid-Winter break, Spring break, and Memorial Day. 

 

PICTURE SITTING FEES

A $8 per class sitting fee will be added to each account in April for any dancer participating in their class photo during picture week in the end of April.  Each dancer will receive at least one free copy of our souvenir recital program which can be picked up in the lobby at recital.

 

RECITAL MEDIA FEE

A $27 per dancer or $45 per family recital media fee will be applied to all accounts in March.  This will provide you with the ability to download a digital copy of the full 2025 recital performance.

 

MISSED CLASSES

All dancers who miss a class may make-up that class at any other time during the week.  A secretary at the front desk will be happy to help you find the correct make-up class.  No make-up classes will be available in April, May, or June due to rehearsal for the recital during class time.

 

RECITAL COSTUMES

A $50 per class non-refundable costume deposit will be due by October 17th, 2024.  Final costume balances will be due on or before January 17th, 2025.

 

OBSERVATION OF CLASSES

It is our belief that students work more productively when not observed. Teachers need the student’s full attention without interruption or distraction to teach effectively. For this reason, parents, friends, and family members will be able to observe their child’s class through a watch window the first week of each month.  If you child’s class is held in a room without a window you will be invited in to observe the class for the last 5 minutes each week.

 

NEWS/ANNOUNCEMENTS

Studio newsletters will be handed out in class in September, October, January, March, and May.  The most current newsletter can also be found on our website.  In addition each month parents will receive an email update about events happening at The Dance Connection.  Be sure to add thedanceconnection95@outlook.com to your email address book in order to keep our monthly emails from going to your spam folder.
