It is studio policy that there are no refunds on tuition for any reason. Please do not register unless you plan to attend class regularly. The dance year begins in September and goes through the middle of June. Monthly tuition is computed on the entire dance year and is the same each month, including those shortened by holidays and breaks.
PAYMENT OF TUITION
All tuition is due the first of the month and must be paid by the 10th of each month. Any payment not made by the 10th will be charged a late fee regardless of what day the 10th may fall on. Tuition payments may be paid by cash or check made payable to The Dance Connection. There will be a $25.00 service fee on all returned checks.
If the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools are closed due to snow there will be no classes. If Plymouth-Canton Community Schools are closed due to cold weather we will remain open. We post all studio closing on our Facebook Page, Instagram, and Twitter account. If you are unsure, please call before coming to the studio. We cannot call every student about weather related closings. Dancers are able to make-up the canceled class within two weeks of the snow day by attending an equivalent class offered on another night.
IN-SERVICE SCHOOL CLOSINGS
The studio will be open for all in-service school closings by Plymouth-Canton Community Schools.
The studio will be closed on Halloween. We will observe the Plymouth-
Canton Community Schools closure schedule for Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, Mid-Winter break, Spring break, and Memorial Day.
PICTURE SITTING FEES
A $7 per class sitting fee will be added to each account in April for any dancer participating in their class photo during picture week in the end of April. Each dancer will receive at least one free copy of our souvenir recital program which can be picked up in the lobby at recital.
RECITAL MEDIA FEE
A $25 per dancer or $40 per family recital media fee will be applied to all accounts in March. This will provide you with the ability to download a digital copy of the full 2020 recital performance.
All dancers who miss a class may make-up that class at any other time during the week. A secretary at the front desk will be happy to help you find the correct make-up class. No make-up classes will be available in April, May, or June due to rehearsal for the recital during class time.
A $40 per class non-refundable costume deposit will be due by October 24th, 2019. Final costume balances will be due on or before February 10th, 2020.
OBSERVATION OF CLASSES
It is our belief that students work more productively when not observed. Teachers need the student’s full attention without interruption or distraction to teach effectively. For this reason, parents, friends, and family members will be able to observe their child’s class through a watch window the first week of each month. If you child’s class is held in a room without a window you will be invited in to observe the class for the last 5 minutes each week.
Studio newsletters will be handed out in class in September, October, January, March, and May. The most current newsletter can also be found on our website. Each month parents will receive an email update about events happening at The Dance Connection.
